Frequently Asked Questions

How does the game server ping checker work?
Our tool establishes a TCP connection to your game server's IP and port, measuring the round-trip time. We send 3 separate pings and report the average, minimum, and maximum latency along with packet loss percentage.
What game servers can I check?
Any TCP-based game server! We have presets for Minecraft (25565), Valheim (2456), ARK (27015), Rust (28015), Terraria (7777), CS2 (27015), Factorio (34197), Palworld (8211), and you can enter any custom port.
Is this tool really free?
Yes, completely free with no signup required. Use it as many times as you need. For continuous 24/7 monitoring with alerts and a public status page, check out Statuscraft Pro at $9/month.
What's a good latency for a game server?
Under 50ms is excellent, 50-100ms is good for most games, and over 150ms may cause noticeable lag. The ideal latency depends on the game — fast-paced shooters need lower latency than survival games.
Why does it say my server is offline when it's running?
Your server may have a firewall blocking external connections on that port, or the port might be different than expected. Double-check the port number and ensure your server allows incoming TCP connections.
